Erick Thohir to buy part of Inter Milan?

This morning rumors have been flying that Erick Thohir, Indonesian media mogul and an owner of the Philadelphia 76ers and D.C. United, wants to buy into Inter Milan of the Italian Serie A. Thohir apparently wants to buy 51% of the club, while the current owners only want to sell him 20-30%. In something that will sound familiar to D.C. United fans, one of the articles mentions that Thohir's help may be necessary to help build a new stadium that would replace the venerable San Siro.

However, all of this begs the question of how much time and money Thohir will put into D.C. United if this purchase goes through. The optimist might say that, if he has the money to buy part of Inter Milan, one of the biggest teams in the world, he will still have plenty of money left over to spend on D.C. United. On the other hand, he has not yet spent money in any obvious way on D.C. United and, until he does, that worry will remain over the heads of fans.

Erick Thohir has the 76ers and, perhaps, Inter Milan; Will Chang has taken a back seat after owning the club alone for years and has the San Francisco Giants; Jason Levien, who was supposed to be the man on the ground here in Washington, is now an owner and the CEO of the Memphis Grizzlies. Who has D.C. United?
